With four full-length albums under their belt, and countless hours spent on the road touring up and down the east coast of the U.S., an evening with Jordan Allen & the Bellwethers is a true masterclass in musical entertainment.

In regards to sound, it’s hard to pin the Bellwethers down. Their extensive original song catalog contains storytelling-style ballads, earnest letter-like light-dimmers, but they also lean into their ability to pump up the energy of a crowd with full-on fist-pumping rock songs. Accompanied by their extensive cover catalog, which ranges anywhere from Kings of Leon, Old Crow Medicine Show, classics such as Johnny Cash, and even the occasional top 40 pop hit, they can have you dancing, slow or fast, and singing along until they leave the stage.

It’s head Bellwether Jordan Allen’s warm, well-rounded vocals and in-depth lyricism that helps separate this group from the amateur leagues. Their song “The Wanderer” even took home the winning spot in The Richard Leigh Songwriters Festival in 2016, and Allen has been a regular feature on the writer’s night roster at the Historic Bluebird Café in Nashville since 2017. The band itself consists of a lineup you might find inside the best Nashville joints on a packed weekend night. Each band member plays their role like a seasoned veteran, adding to the overall richness in power and sound of the band, and creating an energy that is both palpable and electric in any space they play.

There’s only two words to describe Jordan Allen & the Bellwethers: pure energy. Maintaining an impressive balance of cover songs to originals, the band can keep a crowd dancing and singing along for hours on end. Then again, Jordan Allen & the Bellwethers have the stamina to go the extra mile (and 10 more) because they’ve proven it where it counts: on the stage. The band is currently booking for the 2024 season, so book them for your music venue, wedding, fraternity or sorority celebration, or even as a private act for your end-of-quarantine soiree!
